Gods of Anatolia and Storms
Kumarbi, the ancient father of gods, sought to rule the heavens. From him came Arma, god of the moon, and Istanu, god of the sun, who brought light to the world. Wurunkatte, the fierce god of war, defended the order of the gods.
Hannahanna, the great mother goddess, watched over all creation. Szauszka and Tasimmeti, goddesses of love and healing, brought passion and harmony. Nabarbi guarded the moon and cattle, while Perwa, the horse god, gave strength to riders and warriors.
When Telepinu, god of fertility and renewal, vanished, the world fell into chaos and famine. The gods searched for him, and with the wisdom of Hannahanna and the help of the other deities, Telepinu was restored, bringing abundance and balance back to the land.
Thus, the Hittite gods maintain the cycles of nature, war, love, and renewal, shaping the fate of mortals and the world itself.
