One God and Divine Host
Before creation was only God and the void. In six days, God spoke existence into being: "Let there be light" pierced the darkness. The waters above were separated from waters below by the firmament, and dry land emerged from the seas.
After creating vegetation, God set the luminaries in the heavens - the greater light to rule the day, the lesser light to rule the night, and the stars. The waters teemed with life, and birds soared through the sky. Land brought forth living creatures after their kind.
As creation's crown, God formed humans from earth's dust and breathed life into them. Given dominion over creation and placed in Eden's garden, they walked with God until sin's deception led to exile. The cherubim with flaming sword now guard paradise's gates.
Sin corrupted creation, leading to the great flood. Only Noah's Ark preserved life. God's covenant with Abraham began the chosen people's story, leading to revelation at Sinai where divine law was given amidst thunder and lightning on the mountain wrapped in smoke.
