Allen Kardec

A French educator who codified the belief system known as Spiritism. He published "The Spirits’ Book" in 1857, which he claimed was a compilation of answers provided by high-level spirits through various mediums. He introduced the concept of reincarnation as a scientific necessity for the moral and intellectual evolution of the soul. He famously stated that "unshakable faith is only that which can meet reason face to face," seeking to bridge the gap between science and religion. His work had an immense impact, particularly in Brazil, where Spiritism remains a major social and cultural force today.
