Merope

The "Mortal One," who married a king and was said to hide her face in shame because her sisters all wedded gods. She represents the "Human Connection," the bridge between the divine heights and the earthen floor. She is the star of humility and the earthly path, the one who proves that there is a unique glory in being mortal. Why do we hide our faces when we feel "lesser," forgetting that we are part of the same constellation as the gods?
