Visionaries who established enduring institutions
The founder and leader of the controversial religious movement "The Children of God," later known as The Family International. He transformed a small group of counter-culture youth into a global organization based on communal living and his radical interpretations of Christian love. He was famous for his "Mo Letters," a series of illustrated directives that dictated every aspect of his followers’ lives, from theology to sexual behavior. He introduced the "Flirty Fishing" technique, which encouraged female members to use sex as a means of proselytization. His leadership remains deeply controversial due to systemic allegations of abuse and the extreme isolation of the group.
