Saint Anthony of Padua

Though the world asks him to find lost keys, Anthony’s true specialty is the recovery of the "lost soul." He was a master of the Word, a preacher whose tongue was so holy that it remains uncorrupted to this day in a reliquary in Padua. He is often shown holding the Child Jesus, a reminder of the time a host saw the infant Lord playing in Anthony’s arms—a sign of his pure and childlike intimacy with God. He represents the eternal truth that the Gospel is a treasure meant to be found and shared. He is the "Wonder-Worker" because he makes the impossible seem ordinary through faith.
