The "Domus Aurea" is the womb that was more spacious than the heavens, a sanctuary crafted by the Holy Spirit to house the uncontainable God. Gold is the metal of kings and the symbol of the eternal; by this title, the Church recognizes a vessel purified by grace to be a temple of the highest order. It represents the truth that every human heart is designed to be a dwelling place for the Divine. We are called to be "golden" not through our own wealth, but through the refining fire of God’s love dwelling within us. This is the blueprint for the soul as a tabernacle.
