Papa

Papatūānuku, the Earth Mother and the foundational womb of all existence. She lies beneath us, bound forever in a tragic longing for the Sky Father, Rangi. She represents the "Eternal Support" and the source of all nourishment. Every stone, every root, and every spring is a part of her body. She is the dark, rich soil that accepts the dead and births the living, the one who teaches us that no matter how far we sail, we are always walking upon the skin of our most ancient mother.
