Amaterasu

The Great Goddess of the Sun and the ancestral mother of the Imperial line. When she hid in a cave, the world fell into darkness; when she emerged, life returned. She is the "Sovereign Light" that illuminates all things, the embodiment of order, purity, and the morning. She represents the "Unconquerable Spirit" that exists within the center of the world. Why do we bow to the rising sun? Because her light is the only reason we can see the path ahead. She is the eye of the heavens.
