Cosmos

The "Second God" and the beautiful, ordered body of the universe, which serves as a visible temple for the indwelling Spirit. In the Hermetic view, the Cosmos is not a pile of dead matter, but a sentient and sacred entity that is constantly singing the praises of its creator. It is the great tapestry of the stars, the planets, and the elements, woven together by the laws of sympathy and antipathy. To study the Cosmos is to read the biography of the Divine, for every part of the world is a syllable in the name of the One.
