Al-Ghazali

The Alchemist of the Heart, who abandoned the prestige of the intellect to find the taste (dhawq) of the divine in the ruins of his own certainty. He represents the "Way of the Internal Proof," the realization that the mind can only lead you to the gate, but only the heart can walk through. He is the traveler who found that the map is not the journey, and the honey is not the word "sweet."
