Nikolai Fyodorov

A Russian Orthodox philosopher who laid the foundations for what would become Russian Cosmism. He advocated for the "Common Task," a radical scientific and spiritual goal to achieve physical immortality and the technological resurrection of all ancestors. He believed that the Earth was too small for a perfected humanity and that we must colonize the stars to find room for the resurrected dead. His ideas deeply influenced the early pioneers of rocket science, including Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. For him, the ultimate duty of science was to conquer the "last enemy"—death itself.
