I and I

This is the linguistic cornerstone of the faith, a rejection of the "you and me" that creates separation and hierarchy. "I and I" means that the Spirit of the Most High (Jah) lives within the speaker and within every other person, making all humanity a single, divine entity. Why use "we" when we are all reflections of the same One? It is the ultimate expression of equality and cosmic empathy, the realization that to harm another is to strike at the God within yourself.
