Ark of the Covenant

More than a chest of gold and acacia wood, this vessel was the tangible bridge where the Infinite God met His finite people. It contained the Law, the Priesthood, and the Bread—the three pillars of the covenant that find their ultimate fulfillment in the Messiah. In the New Covenant, the title is transferred to the "New Ark," who carried the living God within her womb. It represents the truth that God desires to dwell among His people, but that His presence requires a vessel of absolute purity and reverence.
