Barbelo

The First Emanation of the invisible Spirit, she is the "Mother-Father" and the divine womb from which all Aeons are born. Barbelo is the first thought of the One, the mirror in which the Absolute first saw itself and realized its own existence. She represents the perfect female principle of the Pleroma, a vessel of infinite light that precedes the creation of the material world. She is the cosmic intelligence that remains pure and untouched by the gravity of the lower realms.
